I have been searching for this family for a while. This is what I have so far:
1850 Census--United States
Russell County, Alabama. Beat # 2
dwelling# 242 Fam. # 242
Benjm Carden 48 born- Georgia
Elizabeth " 42 " "
Adaline " 21 " "
Mary " 13 " "
Benjm " 12 " Alabama
Rebecca " 10 " "
Eliza " 9/or8 " "
Julia " 7 " "
William " 5 " "
Susan " 3 " "
1860 Census--United States
Russell County, Alabama. Beat 12, Uchee Post Office.
dwelling# 1001. Fam. # 999
B. Carden age: 47, born GA
E. " 42 "
A. " 26 "
E. " 25 AL
R. " 22 "
E. " 21 "
I notice that the dates do not necessarily match up. This is all that I have been able to
find through the US Census. Benjamin has two brothers, William, and Randolph. They
settled in Russell Co. in the late 1830, early 1840 time period. They came from the
Jasper, Co., GA area. I wish I knew what happened to this family after the 1860 Census
took place. I am also trying to find the parents of this Benjamin, William, and Randolph
Carden.
If anyone has any information that would assist in furthering this search I would greatly
appreciate the assistance.
I feel strongly that it would only take a generation or two and we would connect into the
main body of the Carden families in the Southern United States.
