Hello!! The name Escar Lincoln Carden made my eyes pop out. In my
grandmother's bible, Martha Bouldin was listed as Martha "Lincoln". She was
the wife of James Polk Carden. No one knows where the Lincoln came from????
Ah ha, another family mystery?

Hello Barbara,
I'm Becky Carden, and just wanted to welcome you to the group.
My line, as far as I have been able to trace it is:
O.H.R. or he's sometimes, known as Owen N.K. Carden. b. 1820 He was
married to a Nancy McLeod in Pike Co. Ga. in 1843. They migrated over to
Tallapoosa Co. Al., sometime after 1854, and he died in 1862 during the
Civil War.
I then descend from their son, Owen Hendrix Carden, b. 1862.
He was married to Susan Ella Beaird. They were in Chambers Co. Al.
Then next is my Grandfather, Escar Lincoln Carden, born 1900, who was
married to Sarah Felicia Gross.
My dad, was Frank Owen Carden, b. 1923, and my mother was Frances
Stephens.
