Rueben purchased a tract of land (19 1/2 acres) from Henry Wood on theBranches of
Lickinghole Creek, for 50 pounds, Oct 31, 1787. (GoochlandDeed book 14, p 523 )
Rueben and wife, Ann, sell land as follows: Lucy Wood, Henry Wood,Rueben Cardin and wife,
Ann, and John Mechie to Daniel Brodhead, no placeof residence given for any of them. Deed
for land on Lickinghole Creek,Treasury Run and Haller's Branch and said to border the
lands of JesseHodges, Nath'l Caley, Tos. Wafford, Capt. Pryor, Thomas Mitchell
andSam'l Lemay. Witnesses for the Woods: Robert Cardin; Lucy Wood; ValWood. Other
Witnesses: John Bradshaw, Jessie Page; James Page; ThomasMassie Jr. (Goochland County Deed
Book 15, p 256, Made Feb. 3, 1789;Recorded June 15, 1789) Rueben and wife, Ann, sell 1/12
part of RobertCarden, dec'd, land on Nov 19, 1804 (Gooch Co. Deed Book 19, p 355).
Itis not known when Reuben moved to Kentucky, but his will was dated Nov.18, 1824, Barren
Co., KY. Inventory taken Dec. 20, 1824, Sons Jamesand David named as executors. (Barren
Co, KY will book 2, pg 395)
