Buckingham County is almost due West of Richmond - first Powhatan, then Cumberland, then
Buckingham. A good 35 to 40 miles West.
America Ann Carden and her second husband Robert Rose lived in Richmond, VA., and their
daughter and her husband (Sarah Rose and Forrest Mitchell), lived in Clarksville, VA
(Mecklenburg County) for a while, because Forrest owned Mitchell Printing Co., in
Clarksville.
They moved to Richmond in the early 1920's.
America Ann Carden's first husband was a James Ingles, so I guess I could be related
to the
Ingles too! I strongly suspect that Sarah Rose was born to Ingles, as she was born in
1850 or
1851, and died in 1929, age
70+, and America (her mother), did not marry Robert Rose until 1865, after the war. So
maybe
I'm 'barking up the wrong tree?'

Where is Buckingham in relation to Goochland County and Mecklenburg
County,
VA? I'm starting to think these lines are more closely related than I
previously thought.

I'm still looking for my ggg grandparents, William and Mary Lacy Carden, of
Buckingham County,
VA. Somewhere in William's line is a Reuben Carden, but where?
