Hi Cardin,
Sorry to say I haven't come across Jesse Cardin. I wish I had as the Carden men in
our branch are, almost without exception, named John, Patrick or Thomas with just an odd
Michael or James appearing for added interest. It makes research very difficult which is
why I was pleased to get an enquiry for a Timothy which I hoped someone could help me
with, possibly Arthur. I did find a John, who married in 1860 and gives father's
name as Timothy, but is obviously not the right one. Is Jesse Cardin from Co. Mayo?
I have a few stray Cardens found in various Liverpool registers:
George and Margaret possibly from Dublin around 1870
(Probably found a home for these two with another Carden family in Liverpool at present)
William and Lydia had son William born 1788 and daughter Mary born 1790
John and Ann had Elizabeth Joyce born 1837, John born 1840, Ann born 1843
Patrick and Honora had Mary born 1843
James and Mary had Bridget born 1843
These last four families seem to have just "disappeared" perhaps died or
emigrated. Possibly one or two could be related to us but have not found a connectiion
yet.
