I can go back to William Carden, son of William and Elizabeth, born around 1755 in Orange
County NC, Married Dicey last name unknown around 1780 and migrated to Oglethorpe County
and Jasper County, GA.
I don't know if this helps but I guess any info is better than none.

Hi Doris,
You mention the Spring Creek Carden branch, did you by any chance attend the August 2007
Carden Seminar in Columbiana? If not, FYI, the SCHS Quarterly had a really nice
'spread' on the event in their March 2008 issue.
For the last few generations (since 1830) my Carden line has been in Shelby Co., AL.
It's just bf/ then there's a 'gap'.
