I'd ask my GGGrandfather, Ansel (b 1798 d 1859
married to Susan Humphries)who his father, all of his
uncles and aunts and his grandfather and gggrandfather
were. That would more than likely bust down that
brick wall that my dad and I have hit our heads
against. My Dad researched that for at least 50 years
and still hit a dead end. I took over when he died in
2004 and have the same problem. I would like to solve
this for him and for me. Guess it's that Carden
stubborness that won't let me stop!

Dear Genealogy Gems Subscribers,
If you could get an ancestor on telephone, who would
it be?
And what would you want to ask them?
Questions like these can really make us think about
our research and the
questions we have yet to answer, and several of you
sent in great
responses. What better place to share these
listener / reader emails
than in the newest area of the Genealogy Gems
website: The Genealogy
Gems News Blog! This is a place where I can pass on
current news, ask
you some provacative questions in surveys and polls,
and get your
comments and feedback.
