You may be interested to know that a descendant of Baldassare Viscardini,
who was an Italian immigrant to Britain and a cabinet maker in London by
1881, also changed his name to Carden in the 1920's. I have always supposed
he chose the name because there was a prominent Carden family living nearby,
but I wonder if Calderone and Viscardini knew each other and influenced the
choice of name. I will be glad to provide more information on request.
Arthur Carden of Horsham, England

Looking for family members of my husband. His Grandfather and Grandmother
were from Italy. They came here around 1920. Grandfather Joseph (Guisepe),
Grandmother Caterine (I think). They changed the name to Carden. They
settled and raised children in the Oakmont, PA area and later moved to
California with one of his grown sons. One of the boys was Frank (my
husband's father). He know who his father's brothers and sisters are, but
he would like some info on his Grandfathers siblings and parents in Italy.
They would be Calderones..
