Notes by myself: George Carden. Born Littlebourne, Kent about 1794. This
is clearly the father of Sergeant George (a great discovery). These details
have been added to that branch, and are not indexed here. Tessa writes:
"Littlebourne is near Canterbury, I know it well. I will order the film this
week from thye LDS." John Carden. Born Tullamore, Offaly about 1813.
Possibly the John from Ballina, Co Mayo, whose son James was baptised in
Liverpool 27 Nov 1835. Indexed here but also added to "Ballina in Liverpool"
(Lynn Bateman's family). Richard Carden. Born Aughabo, Leix about 1805.
Seems likely to be a member of the Lismore branch, Lismore being only a few
miles from Aghaboe, Queens Co, renamed Leix or Laois. But no suitable
Richard is known. Stephen, William and William Carden. Born Essex about
1790, 1790 and 1822 resp.. The last of these seems particularly likely to be
connected to the Purleigh branch, and perhaps the others too. But they do
not appear in the current draft for that branch.
