I have a hugh favor to ask of everyone and I apologize for this being off
the subject. My 16 year old niece recently had a car accident and is now a
paraplegic. We are all having a hard time with this. The highlight of her
day is to receive mail. I am mounting a campaign to get her mail from as
many places as possible to chart on the map to occupy her mind a little bit.
If any one is able, please send her a card. Thanks for any help. Her
address is
Cristie Williams
Rm 200D
Shepherd Center
2020 Peachtree Rd. NW
Atlanta, GA 30309
My Carden is Frank Carden who married Mattie Ivy, my mother's paternal aunt.
Frank and Mattie are buried at New Bethel Cemetery outside of Belmont, MS.

I know nothing about any book about the Carden family in the USA other
than
my own booklet on the Cardens of Orange Co, NC. Perhaps someone else can
tell us about one. But I have myself written the following books mostly
about Cardens in the UK, Australia, etc
Carden Register, 1970
Carden Miscellany 1, 1970
Carden Miscellany 2, 1970
Carden Miscellany 3, 1975
Carden of Barnane, 2004
Carden of East Kent, 2006
Carden of Tonbridge, 2006
Copies of the last four of these are available from me. I hope to issue a
couple more in 2007.
A Carden Gathering was held near the hamlet of Carden in Cheshire,
England,
in 1998 attended by 150 family members including about 20 from USA.
Copies
of the 65-page Report (including a number of articles about the family)
are
still available.
Doubtless you are aware of numerous web sites regarding the Carden family,
the best of which is Trish's.
