I learned a long time ago not to assume anything. I don't know of anything
definate on Laodicea or "Dicey" except it just shows up so much down through
the years and it seems that the Cardens of that day stuck pretty much to the
naming sequences.

You're right, that name surely is prominent in this Carden (in) family.
A nickname for Laodocea (Laodicea) down through the years seems to be
"Dicey", or something similar. Have you or anyone else noticed that and
is that a correct assumption ? Knowing how ass-u-ming tends to cause
chaos, I was just looking for some verification !
