Hi Brandi,
Do you or any others in your direct line to Asa Carden live,
or have lived, anywhere in AL since his death?
Looking on CWSS (Civil War Soldiers and Sailors) website for
more info. on Asa, or any family members who might've served
with him ?
Also would you have any idea of his mother's name?
Knowing some of this might help your search.
Blessings,
Martha in AL

Message Board Post:
I'm looking for information on my Carden family line, and specifically Asa
Carden and beyond. Asa Carden was born in GA abt 1824 and died in AL 1910.
Asa served during the Civil War in the CSA and according to the revised list
of pensioners of Talladega County, Ala he died October 10, 1903. I believe
his father was John (I) Carden ho was born and died (possibly) in VA 1770
and died 1849. I don't have anything concrete, but I've seen Asa listed on
several family trees on Ancestry w/ John listed as his father. The direct
line is Brandi (Me) >>Janice (1953-2012) >>Mamie (1919-2003) >> Richard
Carden (1887-1951) >> Thomas Carden (1863 - 1939) >> Asa Carden abt 1824 -
1910 (?).
Thanks for your help,
Brandi
