I had heard there are about 3 sources for the Carden name England, Scotland
and Ireland. Of course there were different variations of the spelling that
eventually ended up Carden/Cardin. I hope this is correct and helpful.

Subject: [CARDEN-L] Origin of Carden name and people
Does anybody know the origin of the name Carden, and/or where
most/all
Carden's originated?
I searched the archives for the mailing list first, and only saw a couple
of items,
discussing some early Cardens from England. Do most Carden
researchers end up there as a source?
