hey Barb......yep, i wish them all the luck in the world trying to find out Rachel's
maiden name.......we've been at it for several now.
Barb and i share the same lineage.........her grandfather and mine were brothers.
personnelly and i have no proof of this but i feel like if the story is true about Rachel,
that Reuben's brother , Larkin may have been the one to marry them, since he was a
justice of the peace for several years.

Fizz, Rachel and Reuben are my 3rd greatgrandparents also. John C. Carden was their son.
Rachel was said to be Cherokee, but she and Reuben were married and had children before
the Trail of Tears. John C. was born in Polk Co., TN in 1840 (after the Trail of Tears).
They later were in Murray Co., GA.
John C. is my 2nd greatgrandfather. Barbara
