i had a call after i got in from work this evening from my Aunt Nina's daughter Shelia
Thomas....
Shelia's husband , Doug is a heavy equipment operator and has his own business...well
Shelia said that the other day, Doug was clearing some land at Hackleburg Al. and found
what appeared to be a old homeplace.......they found a marker with the name of Rube L.
Carden ...on it......date of birth 18 Nov. 1836, died 1908
Shelia wanted to know if i knew which Rueben Carden this was and of course i had no
idea.........this man would have been almost 4 yrs. older than my gg-grandpa John Carden
who was born in June of 1840 and as far as i know he had no brother by that name...so, i
am going to be giving this some study this weekend as i have the time but thought i would
throw it out there to you as well as to the Carden list to see of anyone could come
up with some ideas as to who this man was.

my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
