i had not been around Mark very much due to the fact of them living in Ill. for so long, but we had been emailing for some time, sharing our research, until this past Sunday's a week ago at the deication of my gg- grandfather 's Confederate marker at Shady Grove . i was talking to Mark's brother, Roger and his dad, i mentioned Mark's name and he popped up from behind his dad with the biggest grin on his face, stuck his hand out to shake mine and said........HI I'M MARK...........
i will forever remeber him like that, with such a smile on his face.........
Mark's was the grandson of Harley Paul Carden and my cousin.
May the road rise up to me you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rains fall soft upon your fields,
and, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
