Renee, check out the following site; it gives you a simple map showing you where Coosa County is roughly, and is the gateway to a bunch of information about the county as well. Rockford, AL is the county seat.

Yours aye,

Where is Coosa Co., please?
I thought it interesting that one of these people was named Jones -- not
exactly a common first name, but there were two in Orange Co. NC prior to
1900.
I can't believe the museum was closed when you went! I'm dissapointed for you! That's where the neat portrait of Elijah is too.
About those Carden's in the cemetary. Did you happen to ask Larry Carden if he's familiar with Elijah or Benjamin? You'd probably have mentioned that if you had.....
Yours aye,
Tim
Tim and everyone,
I was so disappointed at not getting to go into the "museum". Like I
said this is the second time I have tried to get in to see it!! Maybe I
should give it another try, like they say the third time might be the
charm!
No, all he said was that his dad was Jones Carden, and this Jones, and
BenjaminW. maybe brothers. He said this Benjamin W. lived in Fl.

Hi Tim, and everyone,
O.K., I got the earlier message! Thanks!
I went over to Coosa Co. yesterday, and tried to go to the jail, now
turned into a museum, that you told me about Tim. They had told us
before, that it was open on Sunday afternoon, but wouldn't you know
there was no one there!!
Well, decided to just go back by Sears Chapel, again to pay my respects
to Elijah and Benajmin !!
Then my Dad was driving, and I don't know why, he just decided to go
down this road, and all of a sudden he slammed on his brakes and backed
up, and said look at the name on the mailbox, and it said The Carden's!!
So I actually saw a live Carden. His name is Larry Carden, and he told
us to go to another cemetery, and said there were a lot of Carden's
buried there, so we went, but didn't find but a couple!
Here is the info that I got!
Jones Carden, Larry's father
May 1, 1915
Aug. 4, 1985
Brookie E. wife of Jones
March 21, 1921
B.W. Carden, no dates
B.W. Carden Jr.
Feb. 27, 1921
Lucille D. wife of B.W. Jr.
April 21, 1925
Now, does anyone know where these Carden's fit in? They have to be
connected to Elijah and Benjamin.
Becky C.
It's working fine, Becky! Isn't it funny how these lists, like everything else in life and business, seem to ebb and flow? One minute no activity, the next minute you can't keep up with everything.

Haven't seen anything from this group in awhile, just wanted to see if
this goes thru!
