My spouse's aunt was given a newspaper clipping from the Miami Herald, May
27, 1984. The article is titled, "Scenic Road is Key Link to the past" In
the article, it reads:
"Milton Card, an inventor, sportsman and explorer, built one of the Indian
River's first homes, a yellow brick house near his pineapple plantation -
still standing between Savannah and Midway roads. ....the story was that
Card's daughter Zora, a beauty who grew up to be a famous circus woman, was
jealously guarded by her mother who hovered over her daughter at social
events. ....
I have both Milton Card's and Zora Card's in my line but can't tie them to
these people. Does anybody know anything about the Florida Milton Card's?
