Some one sent me info of Joseph Card/Cord, NC He was in the Rev.
War, enlisted 1777?, he was in Capt. Walsh's Co. 8th, NC Continental
Line, and died Oct 4, 1777.
I wrote to the National Archives, Washington, DC for copies of his
service record. They did not find a record of him.
Joseph's children were granted 640 acres of land in Davidson Co. on the
east fork of Turnbull Creek, Surveyor for Frederick Harget, Nov 10,
1792 by Jno Davis, D.S. (deputy surveyor), in consequence of a Military
warrant No. 1332, located Sept 27, 1788, dated March 1796.
Land warrant assigned by the heirs of Joseph Card, to Frederick Harget,
Military warrant Tennessee No. 2229, grant No 2590 issued Mar 7, 1796,
book 88, page 321.
