Dear Susan,
I am very sorry for your loss. I lost my Father, also, and so I understand.
Thank you for the great idea of taping our aging relatives for future
generations in the family. It's an excellent idea in order to preserve the
memories and family stories.
Like you said, it is a treasure we will have for our children and
grandchildren.
Thanks a lot for this great idea,
edie

Dear Listers,
I am writing to inform you of the passing of my Father, J.C. Card. He
passed on May 27, 2008 and he will buried on May 30. I want you to know
this because he loved my work with the Card genealogy and I want you urge
you to do what I did. I took a cassette player and interviewed him, I
would ask a question and he would answer. I transcribed the tapes and now
I have a 400 pages book titled "Sittin on the Porch" of all of his
wonderful memories and his voice on cassette for which I will put them on
CD's. I urge you to do the same, it only takes ten minutes a day and
look at the treasure you will have. Interview yourself for your children.
Thanks goes tot he latest listers on the list that have seemed to get the
list started again, keep up the work.
