BROOKFIELD - Georgiann Cornelison, 65, died on Sunday morning, July 29, 2012, at St.
Joseph's Medical Center.
She was born in Struthers, Ohio (Mahoning County) on Sept. 14, 1946, a daughter of Richard
Dill and Evelyn Carbaugh.
She was a high school graduate and attended Poland, Ohio Schools.
In 1974, Georgiann joined the U.S. Army, where she served her country for four years.
While in the service, she met Teddie Cornelison and on Feb. 27, 1976, they were wed in
Korea. The two spent 35 wonderful years of marriage before Teddie's passing on Jan.
9, 2012.
After she returned home, Georgiann began working for the Youngstown Air Force Reserve
Base in the payroll department, and after 23 years she retired in 2005.
She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and camping with her husband. Georgiann was also
liked to shop, whether it be for herself or others. She was also an avid cook and like
playing spider solitaire.
She is survived by her two sons, Thomas W. Hoffman Jr.of Salem, Ohio and David Hoffman of
Canfield, OH; her stepson, Ted Cornelison; her stepdaughter, Louann (Robert) Carnahan; her
three sisters, Mary Jane (Vernon) Brown, Eileen (Robert) Mapes, and Caroline Lindsey; and
her brother, Richard (Judy) Dill.
Also surviving are her 15 grandchildren, Tori Lynn, Taylor Rae, Sarah Michelle, Bradley,
Brittany, Kimberly, Elizabeth, Emma, Wiley, Carlyn, Josie, Hannah, T.J., Adam, and Zoey;
and two great-grandchildren, Kadence and Britian.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Teddie L. Cornelison.
Friends may visit Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. and Thursday morning from 10 to 11
a.m.
Funeral services will be held at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel at 11 a.m.
Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Georgiann's name to
the American Cancer Society.
The Lane Family Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel, 6923 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield, OH
44403, handled the arrangements for Georgiann.
