This is true. But actually, it could be a given name as well. My great
aunt was named Nelly Louise Ange....there was no other name. I have also
seen others named Jack (not John), and my cousin's father was actually
named Willie Jarvis (son of Tilman Ferdinand Jr). Gotta be careful in
assuming that short-form names necessarilly "stand for" anything at all.
