Your great-grandfather was my father's uncle. My grandfather was Thaxton
Buros Carawan born August 11, 1894 and is not on Art's 1900 census
information for some unknown reason. My grandfather and grandmother (Rena
Daniels Potter Carawan) are buried in the same plot as your GGF. The
cemetery's name is Sandy Hill and it is in Reelsboro, NC. It is across the
street from where your great aunt Minnie lived. I don't remember the year
she died but she lived past 100. I visited the cemetery last summer (in
fact I had lunch with the residents) and the cemetery and their plot are
appropriately cared for. My parents remember your great Aunt Alice because
she used to visit Norfolk a couple of times a year and would visit with
Thaxton and Rena.
