register in my mind ... I am so glad some Carawan's have unusual names

Hi Ellen and list
Here's how I have this John William in the grand scheme of things:
John William Carawan (b. 26 Jul 1885 d. 19 May 1962) married Sally Ellen
Beacham (b. Sep 1890 d. 15 Jun 1948) on 13 Dec 1911 in Pamlico Co. She was
the daughter of Anson Albin Beacham and Sarah Elizabeth Paul.
He was the son of Joseph S. (or Josephus) Carawan (b. 29 Mar 1859 d. 25 Feb
1942) and Alice Morton Credle (b. 7 Aug 1860 d. 20 May 1905); they married
about 1880. She was the daughter of Elisha B. Credle (b. Feb 1834 d. after
1900) and Elizabeth ?? (b. Oct 1839 d. after 1900).
Josephus was the son of Marcus Carawan (b. 6 Oct 1830 in Hyde Co. d. 11 Sep
1917 in Lowland, Pamlico Co. NC) and Mary Elizabeth Fulford (b. 28 Oct 1829
at Goose Creek d. 10 Oct 1869); they were married 15 Oct 1852 in Beaufort
Co. [likely what is now Pamlico?]. Mary Elizabeth was the daughter of
Josephus H. Fulford and Eliza Daniels.
Marcus was the son of Benjamin Carawan (b. about 1784 in Hyde Co. d. about
1839 at Goose Creek) and Delilah White (birthdate unknown, died before
1840); they married about 1817.l
Benjamin was the son of John (II) Carawan (b. about 1739 d. about 1791 in
Hyde Co.) and Frances ?? (b. about 1739 d. about 2 Mar 1808.
John (II) was the son of John (I) Carawan who died about 1771 in Gull Rock,
Hyde Co. NC, who everyone seems to think (but no one has yet proven to my
knowledge) came to NC from Maryland.
You guys let me know if there are errors here.
