Sorry but I did not make any inquiry. And I am not Mr. Keith. I thought that
I was asked by Mr. John McGowan to help some unknown party which I did. Glad
to know that your records, at least in this case, agree with mine

Mr. Keith, I saw your inquiry on Frances Carawan, born l82l, who
married
William M. Lupton. Frances Carawan Lupton and William M. Lupton are also
my
great, great grandparents. They lived their married lives on Goose
Creek
Island
(Lowland) in now Pamlico County. (then it was Beaufort County).
However,
the
Frances who married William Lupton was not the daughter of Marcus
Carawan.
She
was his sister. Marcus was younger than Frances. Marcus did have a
daughter
named Frances. (probably named after his sister.) I am related to
Frances
through 2 lines. Her older brother, Christopher Carawan, was also my
paternal
great, great, grandfather. Christopher, Marcus, and Frances (and
several
more) were the children of Benjamine Carawan and Delia White.
Which one of Frances and Williams children did you descend from? My
line is through their son Daniel. I have a great deal of information on
this
family. Sounds like you are a distant cousin of mine.
Gladys Shelton
Daughter of Mary Lupton Henry
Granddaughter of Joseph Lupton
Great granddaughter of Daniel
Lupton
Great granddaughter of
William M.
Lupton and Frances Carawan
