Hi Chris,
My husband's mother is from this family of Carawan's. Marcus was married twice -
he had several children by first wife and several children by second wife - I think (if
remembering right) that Marietta Alcock is the second wife. There was a set of twins with
first wife - this is the one that our family comes off of. I have some extended
information on the family, but I am at work right now, so going by memory (which seems to
be getting shorter everyday) I will look up the information and get back with you. What
are you looking for. I am in the process of trying to extend the families more, so if you
are from Delilah's family, I would love to add your information with mine. The
children that you have listed are all from the second batch of children. If I can find my
notes, I think that I have the dates from the cemeteries also. I think that she is buried
in the Mercer Cemetery which is located beside Warden's Grove FWB Church in Lowland.
A lot of the family are burie!
d there. There is also the Carawan Cemetery were Marcus and wifes are buried along with
his brother Christopher. This graveyard is very old and still has some wooden markers. I
went back to Lowland recently and took some digital pictures, but I will have to go back,
because some did not take as well as I would have liked because the sun was bleaching them
out. This was my first try at taking pictures with digital camera, and I could not tell
exactly what I had on the review. Looking forward to corrosponding with you on the
Carawan family.
