Thanks for the information. That does shed a little light on our Daniel.
And a new slant. I thought until recently he had been born in Georgia.
However, after finding a couple of the census which say he was born in North
Carolina, I have changed my mind. I think the 1880 census information was
given by someone who did not have the accurate information. Daniel aged a
lot more than 10 years between the 1870 and 1880 census and it is the later
census that claims he was born in Georgia. I really want to find him on the
1850 because I think there were more children.
It is very possible our Daniel is from that North Carolina branch. That will
give me something to look for at least. Thanks alot.
