I am researching my Capstick ancestors who originally came from Dent, Yorks and were
Cattle Dealers, victualling the ships in the Port of Liverpool.
Francis Capstack b. 1745 or 1753, Dent, married Dorothy Robinson.
Known children, christened at Sedburgh: Brian 3.2.1780; GEORGE b. 29.1.1781; Edward
10.4.1785.
George Capstick married Mary Waistell 8.3.1804 at Crosby Garrett, Kirkby Stephen,
Westmorland.
Children: 1) Francis c. 9.9.1804 married Eleanor? MOVED TO LIVERPOOL IN 1830's
Children - George Robinson Capstick c. 1836 ; Richard Brunskill Capstick c.1838; Thomas
Robinson Capstick c. 1839, all christened at St Peters Church, Church St, Liverpool.
Richard Brunskill married Hannah Parker 26.9.1863 at St Georges, Everton.
2) Dorothy c. 23.2.1806, Crosby Garrett, married Thomas Brunskill 3.7.1830 at Crosby G.
These were my gt.gt grandparents. 7 sons moved to Liverpool in 1850's. Dorothy died in
Wavertree 1891

c. 1822
4) Richard Waistell Capstick c. 18.6.1820, married Bridget ?
Children born in Liverpool - George 1846, John Letkirk 1848, Francis Edmund 1850,
Elizabeth Selkirk 1851, Mary Waistell 1855, all christened at St Peters.
Another branch in Liverpool at the same time were Edmund & Mary Capstick whose
daughter Mary married Dorothy Brunskill's son, John Moss Brunskill at St Georges,
Everton in 1861.
I have data on subsequent generations in Liverpool.
