Hi David
How is the research going?
I don't think Isabella and Mary were twins. I think Mary was born 1842 and
Isabella 1845. I have Isabella in the 1871 Census living at No, 23 Pathead,
aged 26, with her widowed father Anthony and her husband Hector Dick. They
had 1 child, John, aged 1.
Living next door at No. 24, was Mary, aged 28, married to Andrew McKnight.
they had Janet, aged 7, William, aged 6 and Anthony, aged 1.
In the 1881 Census, Isabella is listed as aged 36., with children John, 16,
Janet, 9, Anthony, 7, Sarah, 3, Mary, 3 months.
Her brother, Edward, 26, is living with them.He is unmarried, an assistant
grocer.
I have a copy of the Dent parish registers if you would like a copy. I
believe our line would have been baptised in Dent, as Garsdale did not have
a register before 1700.

Subject: [CAPSTICK] Isabella Capstick born 1842
Need any information on Isabella Capstick, d/o Anthony Capstick
(1813-1880)
and Janet Kerr.
Isabella born 2 Oct 1842 New Cumnock, Ayrshire, Scotland, apparently twin
of
Mary Wright Capstick. Did she die young? Is this their Baptism Date
or
actual Birth date?
Thanks
David Strickland
