Since we're such a small mailing list (3 of us so far), I thought it would
be a good idea to introduce ourselves to one another and compare research
interests.
I'm Tim Capstack, and I'm the listowner for CAPSTACK-L. I've had genealogy
as a passing interest for 10 years or so, but it's become more of a hobby in
the last year. In that time, I've managed to trace my ancestry back to the
late 1700's, with the recent "discovery" of Nathan Capstack's grave in
Barnesville, Ohio, USA. Most of my distant ancestors lived in Ohio from the
early-to-mid 1800's on. I'm still trying to move in both directions, in
terms of looking for both ancestors and descendants -- it's more difficult
than I thought it would be! If you're interested in seeing what I've found
so far, my genealogical website address is below.
I'm currently married and living in St. Louis, Missouri. I complete my
medical residency this year, and am looking for a hospitalist position. My
wife, Laura, is a computer consultant and is expecting our first child in
March.
Please feel free to email me anytime regarding Capstacks in general or in
particular, or with any questions regarding the list. Let any other
Capstack researchers know about the list also, so we can help each other
out!
