Hello-
In a zeal to "leave no stone unturned" in my quest to learn about the
parentage of Sarah ALBRO, born Sept. 29, 1793 in Newport, RI, I have
joined this list. Sarah married Alfred JENKS on Nov. 2, 1820 in Pawtucket
and then they moved to Bridesburg, Penn., which is now a suburb of
Philadelphia. Alfred owned the Alfred Jenks & Son Manufacturing Co. in
Bridesburg. Alfred & Sarah had seven children. One was named Amy CAPRON
JENKS. I consider the name Capron to be a clue to Sarah Albro's family.
I am well aware that Banfield CAPRON married Hannah JENCKES back in the
1700's, but this would be Amy's great, great, great aunt and uncle. Being
named after an uncle by marriage 4 generations back seems highly unlikely.
I am hoping there are Capron's out there that have an Albro or two on
their family tree that could connect to my Sarah Albro, born 1793.
Thanks!
Martha Stead
