Both Capps lines in these areas come from Weakley Co TN also, as did
mine.

Jim and fellow Capps researchers,
I have lots of names of Capps ancestors from family Bibles and other sources,
but few specific counties. I do know most seem to have passed through
Grainger County, Tn., and nearby Knoxville and envrions. My grandparents
Long were distant cousins through their respective Boruff and Long lines via
one Silas Capps. My Long grandparents did settle for a number of years in
Stella, Newton County, Mo., before coming to Arkansas. Stella is just a
stone's throw from Barry County.
Among those Cappses of mine with Missouri connections are:
Mary Elizabeth Capps, b. 15 March 1853 to Julia Ann Brumley and Silans Capps,
, m. Richard Long Ramsey and also Henry Bilyeau ca. 1871. Henry died in March
1876 in Missouri, Mary Elizibeth died about 1922.
Willis P. Capps, born 27 Septmber 1848, to Elizabeth Ann Jackson and Eli
Capps, and was raised in his uncle Levi's home after their death. He was
married to an Elvira J., and their children included Minnie F., John R.,
Lavada F., Geroge W., and Roert F. Willis P. died 11 November 1896 in Ha Ha
Tonka, Mo., wherever that is.
Paris Pizarro Capps, born 11 Swxwmbwe 1880, to Mary Frances Lewis and Samuel
Atkins "Sam" Capps. He married Minnie Moore about 1903, and died on June 1,
1954, at Nevada, Mo.
Martha Jane Capps, born 30 October 18436, in Missouri to Elizabeth Ann
Jackson and Eli Capps. She was married to John Belford Moulder about 1861 in
Missouri. Their chidlren included Margaret, Cordelia, John Sherman, Alica
Ann, Laura Frances, and Elia. Martha Jane died 12 February 6 1934, in
Missouri.
Jacob Capps, born 11 November 1812 in Grainer County, TN, to Elizabeth Jane
Yadon and Willis Capps. He is buried in Capps Cemetery, Miller County, Mo. He
married Naomi "Sarah" Cook in Grainger County, Mo. Children included
Benjamin, Lea E., Noah Flood, Mary, Amy, Cassadane, Lindsey, Amos T., Jacob
Lincoln, and Daniel. Jacob Capps died 26 July 1880 at Capps, Mo.
George Adkins Capps, born 8 October 1895, to mary Frances Lewis and Samuel
Atkin "Sam" Capps. He married Ira Strugeon and died 12 November 1977 at
Granby (Grandby?), Mo.
If anyone makes a connection with any of these, give me a post. I would love
to make a connection.
