Danny,
The LDS (Mormon) IGI lists the following information (sorry - the copy I made is very hard
to read, and the maiden name may be incorrect):
CAPPS, Henry Jackson b. March 1852 Henry Co, AL Spouse: Ann Eliza (Kent?)
There is a town, Capps, AL in Henry Co, AL. I believe I have some articles some where on
this CAPPS family, if you do not already have the information.
Thanks,
Terri Tait

Looking for parents of James A. CAPPS, b.c. 1825 GA, married Nancy HAWKINS in 1849 Lee Co,
GA. Possible son of Eli CAPPS, b.c. 1780-90, probably in SC.

Subject: Henry Jackson Capps (1851-1923)
Greetings,
I would greatly appreciate any information concerning the ancestory of my
great grandfather Henry Jackson Capps (1851/52-1923) married to Ann (or Anna)
Eliza Capps (1860-1936). I have no maiden name for Ann(a) Eliza. Earliest
confirmed record I have found of Henry and Ann(a) is the 1880 Census of
Jackson County, FL. They apparently then moved to Calhoun County, FL. Henry J.
may have been born in Alabama and Anna Eliza may have been born in Florida,
but I can't confirm. I have conflicting information of the wife Anna being
borned in 1871 instead of 1860. I am inclined to believe otherwise, but would
like any information that may help clarify.
Daughters (unconfirmed): Ida Capps (1875/76-??), Susan E. Capps (1877/78-??),
Lilian (sp?) Capps, and Emma Capps
Sons (confirmed): Henry Richard Capps (1880-1948), Alton Friendly Capps
(1894-196?), Sherman Randolph Capps (1884-1958), George Washington Capps
(1899-??), Alton Friendly Capps (1894-197?), Elton Albert Capps (1902-1962),
Norman Capps (1899-??), Louis Capps (1906-1982). One unconfirmed son by the
name of Codt, no dates.
Thank you for any information you may have.
