Thanks very much Kay, Marilyn and James for your responses.
Kay, I have very little info on William Henry Capps, none before he
married my great-grandmother, except what I've already sent. So it's
anybody's guess. And Marilyn... here's the more.
James, we may possibly have a match or at least kindred in common.
Pine Level, Selma and Smithfield, three cities which my great Uncles
Joe and Jim spoke of are all in Johnston Co. NC. What I typed up in
the story I relayed is nearly all I have except for a few other
sketchy detail. Mary, who may very well have married again, had a
child or grandchild named Bud Oliver. And Bud is either the father
or son of (I'm not sure which) Ronnie Oliver. Which ever one is the
elder was a Sheriff. There is also a Louise Oliver who may have
been a spouse to Bud or Ronne. Two other people my Uncle's talked
about were Walter and Bob, but how they connect, I don't know.
Mary married Charles Oliver in 15 April 1830 in Bulloch Co. GA.
Also while looking through my notes I found where I'd written down
that Uncle Joe named his son Haywood after one of William Henry's
brothers.
