I assume the Jacob and Silas you are referring to are the sons of Willis
Capps (there are other children as well)
Willis and Elizabeth are shown in 1810 Grainger County TN census living next
to Joseph Yadon with 3 children under 10 years old. A female over 45 also,
may be Willis' mother. The children are 1 boy and 2 girls.
Later information I have (do not recall exact source) show childen to be:
Joseph Capps born 10 April 1807
Sarah Capps born ca. 1810
Jacob Capps born 11 November 1812
Sterling Capps born ca. 1814
David Capps born ca. 1816
Silas Capps born ca. 1818
Eli Capps born 19 November 1822
Levi Capps born ca. 1827
Silas' info includes Missouri file #3 biogprahy; Dec. 11, 1863 Federal Army,
Civil War; A school teacher and judge in Miller Co., Mo.
As for Jacob I show: Third son of Willis and Elizabeth returned to Tennessee
with Joseph and Rebecca in the early 1830s. While in Tennessee he married
Naomi Cook. They returned to Missouri and settled in Capps, Mo., near
residence of brother Silas Capps. Jacob ran the ferry across the Osage River
from Miller County to Camden County, Mo. Jacob was a Baptist minister. He was
in the Civil War, and a captain in the Home Guard. He homesteaded 240 acres
of land at Capps, Mo.
