Hi:
I spotted this entry at the Randolph Co. AR USGenWeb page.
Sometimes I run across a Sampson Capps in Randolph Co. I wonder if a
printout has mixed up the last name of Capps with the first name of Sampson
Cantrell. In the database below the names of Sampson and Capps would be
next to one another. While searching for the word Capps the search feature
found this:
"15. Index to Wills in Randolph County to 1900
Ezekiel Cantrell, Sampson Capps, Wm Carr, Jane Carter, Levi Chambers, John
R Chandler, John Chenowth, John H Clay, John Clarke, George Cobb, John Coe,
John G Conger, J G Cox, Levi"
But when I went to the site I found these:
Found at:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~arrandol/WillsIndex.htm
Index to Wills in Randolph County to 1900
"Busby, Ezekiel
Cantrell, Sampson 1845 Will 1 182
Capps, Wm 1844 Will 1 165
Carr, Jane
Carter, Levi
Chambers, John R
Chandler, John
Chenowth, John H
Clay, John
Clarke, George
Cobb, John
Coe, John G
Conger, J G
Cox, Levi
"
The printout has all the commas in a different place but which list is
correct? Sampson Capps or William Capps? I vote for William.
Regards,
Nan
