Hi Judith, My Capps line comes from the William and Nancy Cooksey
Capps
from
Rev. John Capps, from Conelius Alfred Capps to my maternal grandmother
Janie
Umakie Capps Searcy and she and her father and mother are buried here in
Transylvania County, NC. Would love to find any information on my William
Capps (m Cooksey). Also I have a photo copy somewhere of the discharge
from
the Civil War of Cornelius Alfred Capps from the New Jersey Calvery and it
still shows how much he was paid. Hope to hear from others on the list. My
name is Wanda McCall Aiken of Pisgah Forest, (Transylvania, YES
Transylvania
County) NC. Thanks and have a great day. Wanda
