Currituck County, In the name of God Amen, I DENNIS CAPPS of said County
being in a low state of health but of a sound disposing mind and memory Thanks be
to God for the same, as it is appointed one for all men to die I make and
ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament, in manner and form.
First I recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to be burried at the
discretion of my executor hereafter mentioned
I give to my Son CALEB CAPPS the land and plantation that I now live with all
the land I own to him and his heirs forever.
I give to him my hand mill to him and his heirs with one bull yearling and
all the cattle I lent to him before.
I give to my Daughter MARY MILLER one bed and furniture which she has in
possession likewise I give to her one red heifer the calf of Cherry to her and her
heirs forever.
I leave one cow Cherry to be sold to pay my funeral expenses the remainder if
any to be equally divided between my three children with all the remainder of
my property not given.
I constitute and appoint my Son CALEB CAPPS my whole and sole executor of
this my Last Will and Testament revoaking all other wills by me made given under
my hand and seal this 17th day January 1803.
