Hi ,
I am Sandra and my roll call is:
father Alfred Henry Oldrey
grandfather Alfred Henry Oldrey
ggrandmother Julia Capnerhurst
gggrandfather Francis Capnerhurst
ggggrandfather Joseph Capnerhurst (we all hope)
Thanks for your mail Faith and Jean, let us hope we between us, can confirm
Joseph and go even further back.
My cousin Val started to research the Oldrey's and Capnerhurst's 20 or more
years ago, the hard way without
a computer, she gave me a lot of information to get my teeth into and in
turn, I have been able to give her back a
lot more. She is hoping to get a computer in the near furture, so maybe
she will then join us in our quest.
Sandra

Well, people, I have not seen even one of you answer to the roll call, so
I
guess I should go first.
As most of you know, I am Faith Capnerhurst, and my Capnerhurst line goes
like this:
father: Stanley Earle
gfather: George Henry
g gfather: Frank
gg grandfather: Henry
ggg grandfather: Francis (possibly Steventon) Capenhurst
gggg grandfather: we are presently investigating the possibility this would
be Joseph Capnerhurst -- (my guess it is very likely)
I have been researching the Capnerhurst family for over 30 years beginning
with the information found in the family Bible belonging to my great aunt
Florence (George Henry's sis) and continuing on through information and
certificates supplied to me by my cousin Tom in B'ham England,
certificates
I have sent for myself, census returns, and shared info from my cousin Pat
also in B'ham, a cousin Jacqui who normally resides in Greece, and a cousin
Sandra whom I have recently become acquainted with. I have also recently
become acquainted with Jean whose ancestor was most likely a brother to
my
Francis.
I was hoping that through this mailing list, we could all share information
and be able to push forward with the research. I fully believe we will
be
able to trace back to the de Capenhurst family of Capenhurst, Cheshire.
This family were the Lords of the Manor from the 13thC to the 18th C.
I have noticed during my reserach that Capenhurst, Capnerhurst, Capner,
Capener, Caponhurst, and other variations seem to be variations of
the
Capenhurst name.
If we all cooperate, we could make this site a wonderful sharing place for
all Capnerhurst/Capenhurst researchers. I hope to hear from all of you
in
the next few days.
Warm Regards,
Faith
