Hello!
I have just recently started expanding my family tree research. My great-grandmother was
Marie Louise Capnerhurst, born in Warwickshire, Birmingham, England in July 1987. My
grandfather was her son, and I have been talking with my grandmother a lot recently to
extract the family history that she has before it is lost. Marie Louise came to Canada
with her parents, and left them at 14 to come to the states. She married Earl Geisert and
lived in the Toledo area (which might explain why her mother came to the area as well.)
My grandmother remembered Archibald's name, and that he had a daughter Phyllis. In
doing some searching, I came upon your Rootsweb surname board, and the pieces clicked into
place. My great-grandmother was never sure if her maiden name was Capnerhurst or Cornes -
it is listed both ways in our family history of my Great Grandfather Earl. Marie died in
1977. She had two children - Euna Marie Geisert born in 1917 (d. 1990) and Melvin Earl
Geisert born 1!
918 (d. 2004). I have most of the marriages, divorces, additional births (grandchildren,
great grands, greatgreat, etc) as well that I would be happy to pass on.
Have you discovered anything with regard to Archie and Marie Louise's parents? I have
a photocopy of Marie Louise's birth certificate, and it does list her parents'
names as well as her mother's maiden name, but it has been difficult for me to find
anything solid.
Anyway, I wanted to offer up this branch of the family tree, as Marie seemed to be one of
the "lost siblings".
Jen Stevens
