Hello I have just become the new administrator of 3 new (to me) lists at
Rootsweb.com
It will be several days before I get myself acquainted with the latest lists that I have
added to my happy chores, I am typing up this letter on the fly so I hope that it makes
sense to everybody
This letter is my introduction to my newest three lists CAPLINGER, FORSYTHE & MOUNCE,
I was the administrator for DUNCAN,TYLER, VANSCOY& WILMOTH,and in fact still am.
I won the DUNCAN list after much waiting, I created TYLER (My maiden name) &
VANSCOY(My great-grandmother) & WILMOTH, My Father's maternal line, I requested
CAPLINGER mostly because I have so many in my files(more than 40)and in my experience
they were largely centered in WV, I requested FORSYTHE because it is one of my unfinished
lines for my husband and will be searching in Wisconsin for more clues on this family.
MOUNCE is another of my husband's line that I am hoping to expand connected to DUNCAN
mostly in KY
I want to look over the present tag lines and perhaps add my own flavor to them.
Right at this moment I have two experts that I ask for help on DUNCAN, and one on VANSCOY.
In 1988 I created an index for a book on the Wilmoth family named: WILMOT -- WILMOTH --
WILMETH and that is my only resource for my WILMOTH line at this moment
James Lillard Wilmeth, (compiler), WILMOT -- WILMOTH -- WILMETH (Charlotte, NC, Washburn
Printing Company, 1940) No cover, photocopies, 8 1/2 X 11, 2 pages to the sheet, 374
pages, indexed.
My index for the above book is found here:
ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/wv/family/wilmoth.txt
so if anybody reading this has any online files or anything special to share on any of
these surnames, please contact me
