I'm wondering the same thing. Also, does a Caples Digest exist?
I would be
very interested in a copy.

many subscribers are currrently subscribed?
The CAPLES mailing list (both the -L list version and -D digest version) is
still around. It's not been very active because the list members haven't
been sending messages to the list.
Maybe it's time for a couple of reminders.
1) To unsubscribe, send a *NEW* e-mail to CAPLES-L-request(a)rootsweb.com if
you're getting individual messages or to CAPLES-D-request(a)rootsweb.com if
you're getting a digest containing several messages.
2) If you want to change from one form to another, you need to unsubscribe
and then subscribe again
3) The Caples-L web page can be found at
http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~lcompton/caples
4) Archives of the list can be searched at
http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl
5) You can browse through the archived messages at
http://archiver.rootsweb.com/CAPLES-L/ -- you'll be prompted for a
username and password. If you haven't picked one yet, follow the link to
do so and then come back to this page. (The username and password are
designed to keep e-mail address harvesters from walking through all the
archived messages.)
6) And, we now have 27 folks subscribed to CAPLES-L and 14 subscribed to
CAPLES-D
