The Elizabeth Capewell I want was born about 1764 and whether this was her
married name or not I'm not sure. This Elizabeth lived in Sheffield in 1799,
then Eyam, Derbyshire. She then married a Matthew Wright in 1816 and moved
to Brampton, near Chesterfield. What happened before 1799 is my research
problem and I have several possibilities - none proven yet.
I'm afraid I can't help you with your Elizabeth.
Best wishes
Dave Capewell

Subject: [Capewell] Elusive Capewells
I have been searching for some time for information on my Capewells.
My grandmother was Elizabeth Capewell born 1874 and married my grandfather
Alfred
Dyble in 1899 in Paddington, London. She died in 1933. Her father was
Edward Capewell, a labourer. I have a birth certificate for an Elizabeth
born in Stone Work House, Stafford to a Sarah Capewell in July 1874 but
there is no mention of a father so I am not quite sure if this is the same
Elizabeth.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Regards
Marilyn
