I am researching the family of my great grandmother Clara Elizabeth Capewell b: 30 May
1847, parents were Charles b: 1822 in Fradswell & Margaret Elsmore b: 1825 in
Liverpool, they were married on 13 March 1843 in Colwich, Staffordshire. They obviously
moved back to Fradswell by the time of Claras' birth in 1847. I had realised how many
Capewells there were living in Fradswell but I am amazed at how many descendants there are
researching the family.
I am popping down to Fradswell in a couple of days (weather permitting) although I may
visit the William Salt Library in Stafford first as I cannot decipher the street/house
name of Claras' residence on the 1851 census. The word looks like 'Yogland',
the 'ogland is pretty clear but the first letter is undecipherable. I have come
across a 'Dog Lane', home of James & Elizabeth Capewell on the 1841 census,
not sure if 'Yogland' is a poorly written version of this.
Anyway, lovely to see so many relatives, distant though we may be, please get in touch
with info or your own queries, be pleased to help if I can.
