WILL SUE THE RAILROAD
John Capers, Colored, Was Put Off Governor's Special Train
Guthrie: John Capers, a negro member of the city council here, will enter suit against
the Frisco railway company because he was not permitted to accompany the white people on
the governor's special train to St. Louis. A number of whites refused to ride on the
train with the Guthrie alderman, as he was aked to leave the train, which he did. He went
to St. Louis on a later train.
