Reference Capell.
Emma Capell (1840 - 1886) was married to Jefferson Green Fields (1820 -
1898). They had one son, Andrew Jackson Fields, born in Shelbyville,
Bedford County, Tennessee, 1865. They moved to Pleasant Grove, Dover,
Pope
County, Arkansas sometime during the 1870's/early 80's. Emma
Capell is
buried side-by-side with Jefferson Green Fields and his next wife (my
grandmother) following Emma's death. About 15 years ago, someone erected
a
tombstone at Emma's grave that also says sister to Ellen Capell
Stark. We
have a picture of Emma and she appears to be Native American or Italian.
We
know nothing else about her.
Their one son Andrew Jackson Fields (Sr) had ten children by a marriage
with Virgie Abigail Robbins. There are a lot of descendants from this
union.
If any of this is relevant please let me know and I can put you in
contact
with those descendants. We are all looking for anyone relatives to
the
Capell, especially since we are having a Fields Family Union in Memphis
TN, June 15, 16 & 17.
I'll be gone for the next few hours, but please answer and I'll respond
upon my return..
