Martin,
Thanks for your e-mail--enjoyed your site. But, I don't believe we are
of the same Capehart line. I have researched my line for over 25
years--my line was from South Carolina to Alabama to Arkansas to Texas.
Henry and brother George (born ca. 1770 were in SC)--Henry's son John
(born 1792) H. moved to Alabama--John's son Henry W.(born 1819) moved
to Arkansas. The rest stayed in Alabama. George had only daughters. Let
me know if you have any more questions. Thanks again.

I recently had my cousin, Helen do a DNA on the Burton side of our
Family.Your email was sent to me as,
a match, (HVR2).Helen's mother and my Father were brother and sister. Our
Grandmother was Sara Elizabeth Burton, Married John Ellis Capehart at
Hermitage,
Missouri in Hickory county, in 1897. They had four children, Arval,
Mabel, Retta, and
Ray, which is my Father, he was born Feb. 2, 1908
They had moved to Prowers County Colorado, between 1903 and 1908.
They lived at Wiley Colorado. I'm wondering if your Family, might be
relatives of ours. We are working on genealogy. Here is My Family website:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mcapehart/index.html
My cousin who did the DNA was a direct female of my grandmother she was
also a haplogroup K.
We did our DNA through Family Tree DNA.
I did a DNA for the male side of the Family. My
haplogroup is:R1b1c
My mtDNA is:U5a1a
I don't fully understand what all this reveals about
my ancestors. My grandmother was supposed to be
a native American, but we are not sure of the TRIBE.
