Diana: Sounds probable! I was just thinking that I needed to find the 1840 Census entry
for Hiram to see if there were older children listed, but your 1830 info shows that
(thanks for the page number). So far, of course, this is circumstantial but it certainly
doesn't contradict the assumption that Julia Ann and Betsy are the two older
daughters. Sarah Emeline was 20 in 1850, and so could've been born in 1829 or 1830.
She and Betsy would be the two females under 5, and Julia Ann the 5 to 10-year-old.
Now, was Nancy's mother Eliza Gillmore or Eliza Robbins?
