"Whee doggies!" Just what the doctor ordered. Those ages fit 1850 census
information for Hiram Cape & family, but for the two oldest daughters. Robert was the
father of Edward and Taylor Armour, and would be 67 in 1840. Taylor would be 25, and
Edward 27. Other siblings were William (would be 36), John (would be 31), Walter S.
(would be 26), and Robert B. (would be 23). Most of them and their families turn up in
later Hall County censuses. Anyway, I think we've got some good circumstantial
evidence going for both our lines.
Robert S. Armour married a Margaret of about the right age to be "M.J. Cape" and
had a child "A." who would be close to the right age to be the Amanda Armor in
the 1880 Census. I need to check more into the census records for gender, and possibly a
more complete name. (Amanda also could've been Edward's daughter, Arminda.)
