I am searching for information on my great-great-great grandfather. So
far, all we
know is he was born in England and died in Montana, in 1896. I
am not sure what year he immigrated to the US, but he had a wife and infant
daughter at that time - Margaret (maiden name is believed to be Paull) and
Ellen (I have passenger records for them in 1888, but do not see him on the
list). They settled in Dillon, MT, where they had 3 more children, Margaret,
Henry, and William. He was killed in an accident of some sort there. It was
rumored that he came from a line of nobility in England, but was disowned by
his family for marrying a "scullery maid." He also had a brother who came to
the US later, but don't have a name for him, or what became of him.
